But if you happen to have an Obihai 200 series device lying around, and you are running FreePBX, you can put it to good use. And it is also not for those who like to run custom firmware, or that think that the “OBi Dashboard” is in some way evil – although if you do, this method will probably work just as well on a locally-configured Obihai. It is specifically not intended as an inducement for anyone to go out and buy a new Obihai device, because in our opinion Obihai hasn’t been treating its customers very well lately, and we have no reason to think that will change. It is for people who have experience setting up and configuring FreePBX, and who also currently own an Obihai 200 series device (200 or 202), and that are using standard Obihai firmware and use Obihai’s “OBi Dashboard” to configure your device. OBi200, OBi202 and OBi212 devices may continue to work after the end of service date, but they will not be able to get added to the Google Voice service after December 18, 2023. OBiTALK calling service will continue to be supported for the OBi200, OBi202 and OBi212 until December 18, 2023. The End of Engineering support date and the End of Service date for all OBi200, OBi202 and OBi212 products will be December 18, 2023. OBi200, OBi202 and OBi212 products have entered the End of Sale phase with the last day of sale of these products to be Decem(as supplies last).
